A Statement by Aird & Berlis About Recent Events in Israel

At Aird & Berlis, we remain deeply disturbed by the recent terrorist attacks by Hamas into Israel, which included horrific acts of brutality against children, women, the elderly and other innocent people. These attacks are an affront to basic human decency and the right of all people to live without fear based on their race, religion or cultural identity. We reject and condemn any attempt to rationalize these attacks. Our sincere condolences and sympathies go out to all those affected by these tragic events; particularly our Jewish colleagues, clients and friends.

In the days following the terrorist attacks by Hamas, we have witnessed hateful and antisemitic statements and actions against the members of our Jewish communities. At Aird & Berlis, we believe that there is no place for such statements and actions. Bigotry, prejudice and hate of any kind must be squarely confronted and denounced.

Our deepest thoughts and sympathies are with all innocent people affected and we hope for a peaceful resolution.
