Jinny Tran is a land use planner in the firm’s Municipal & Land Use Planning Group and a member of the Expropriation Law Group.
Jinny provides private and public sector clients with advice on land use planning matters, as well as on all aspects of the development approval process. She conducts research on planning policy and provides opinions on zoning compliance.
Jinny has experience in preparing and coordinating development applications, including Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments, Consents and Minor Variance Applications. She acts as a project coordinator and liaises with a range of consultants, municipal staff and regulatory agencies to secure approval of planning applications.
Jinny also assists with preparing and filing appeals to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (formerly the Ontario Municipal Board) and applications to the Landlord and Tenant Board. She prepares draft by-laws, document books, exhibits, notices and supporting materials for hearings.
