Andrew is one of Toronto’s go-to lawyers for complex, mixed-use residential/commercial developments. He leads a team of experienced professionals which provides real estate developers with a complete package of legal services in a business-oriented manner, emphasizing cost effectiveness, responsiveness, value and quality.
As a member of the firm's Real Estate Group and Co-Leader of the Condominium Group, Andrew’s practice involves all aspects of real estate acquisition, financing, syndication, leasing, restructuring and sale with a particular focus on land development, condominium/subdivision law, joint ventures and infrastructure cost sharing. He began his career at Aird & Berlis more than 30 years ago as an articling student and, since then, he has assisted developers in registering countless plans of subdivision and plans of condominium in Ontario.
Andrew has extensive experience advising both private and institutional lenders with acquisition, construction and long-term financing for real estate projects. He also represents borrowers and lenders in connection with security enforcement, debt restructurings and workouts.
