Melanie recently completed her first year at Osgoode Hall Law School. At Osgoode, she participated in several moots, including the Lerners Cup Moot (quarterfinalist, placing third overall), the Frozen Open Osgoode Moot (finalist), the Annual Cassels Cup Moot (second place) and the Hicks Morley Labour and Employment Moot. In addition to competing as an oralist, Melanie served as Lead Operations Coordinator and a judge for the Osgoode Cup Undergraduate Moot. Prior to law school, Melanie earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McGill University, where she gained hands-on experience in anatomy laboratories and behavioural sport studies. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she remained active in intramural athletics, including volleyball and swimming. Outside of her academic work, Melanie volunteers with Lawyers Feed the Hungry and the Canadian Cancer Society. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, spending time with friends and family, staying active through sports such as taekwondo and track and field, and baking.
