Portia is a strong negotiator and communicator who supports her clients as they seize opportunities or face challenges. She works collaboratively with her clients in order to provide solutions geared to their specific needs.
Portia is a member of the firm’s Corporate Group. She advises on a broad range of corporate/commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions. Portia also draws from her prior experience in the not-for-profit sector to provide support for the firm’s Charities & Not-For-Profit Law Group.
Portia works with Indigenous-led and Indigenous nation-owned entities on corporate governance and structuring, regulatory compliance and charity matters. She advises on how legislative requirements align with community practices and supports clients in understanding their corporate obligations and implementing necessary changes. She also assists with charitable registrations and compliance.
Portia summered and articled at Aird & Berlis prior to joining the firm as an associate.
